Field Trips
We run guided field trips between spring and fall, giving members the chance to locate and collect their own rock, mineral, crystal, and fossil specimens!

Field Trips run between spring and fall. Details will be updated here, and announced in monthly emails.
Some field trips take place at working quarries, where rules are very strict & must be followed. Other trips are to sites that simply require a decent pair of shoes and safe behaviour. Some trips are even open to younger children!
Our club members are also allowed on some trips hosted by other CCFMS clubs, and we open our field trips up to other CCFMS club members once our minimum number of members have booked.

Our 2025 field trips were very successful! They included:
Thunder Bay: June 28–July 1, 2025
Cobalt Silver Detecting: July 19-20, 2025
Bancroft: August 9-10, 2025

Open Field Trips
